Emily Kern
RPP Evaluator
Dr. Emily C. Kern is a senior research analyst at Partner to Improve. She acts as one of the evaluation partners for the CT to CS RPP. On this project, Dr. Kern supports the development of a high-quality RPP by collecting and analyzing data to assess the quality of the RPP and whether the project has resulted in the desired outcomes. Dr. Kern has experience evaluating NSF-funded initiatives, especially those that focus on expanding access to CS, including CSforALL RPPs and IUSE grants. She also has ten years of experience working as a math teacher and math instructional coach. Dr. Kern earned her PhD in K-12 Leadership and Policy Studies from Vanderbilt University and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Willamette University (Salem, OR).
