Co-Principal Investigator
Kelly Powers is the Director of Computational Thinking Initiatives at Cornell Tech K-12. She is an active member of the CS movement in the United States and internationally, engaging with CS researchers and leading educators to bring the most relevant CS methods and content to students who don’t have access to Computer Science. As co-investigator on the CT to CS RPP, Kelly works to develop teacher content knowledge, pedagogy and confidence in CS and CT through customized PD. Kelly has received a certificate in Computational Thinking from Michigan State, a Master’s in Teaching, a Master’s in Information Systems, and has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. She uses computational thinking on a daily basis as she continuously breaks down her tasks, prioritizes them, evaluates their outcomes and iterates.
